CORE BEERS
Here's a little more background to each of our core beers.
We always run a couple of seasonal specials on cask, to fit the mood of that time of year, but these six beers aren't going anywhere! Plus they'll always available to buy online. (providing they don't sell out entirely, of course!)

Canny Canuck
Thirsty Moose’s flagship ale and winner of a 2026 regional Gold Award from SIBA. Our maple brown ale infuses Canada's greatest export with the North East's most beloved beer style.
Deep, malty flavours of biscuit, nut, caramel, and fermented maple syrup combine to create a smoky woodland aroma.
"Hot diggity dog this was very good indeed. Sweet, malty, rich, it tates higher than 4.5% but not in a bad way. Would definitely drink again."
- Tom, The Blue Blazer, Edinburgh
"Lovely mix of nutty brown ale flavours with the addition of maple. Favourite beer of the night"
- Richard, The Shakespeare, Sheffield

Nowt But Stout
A velvet-smooth, well-bodied triumph of a stout. Featuring subtle chocolate, coffee, and light charcoal undertones.
This deep, dark delight delivers a sweet essence, artfully balanced with a satisfying, roasty bitterness.
"A proper stout. Smooth without the creaminess. Bitter dark fruit notes mixed with smoky notes, leaving an ash like mouthfeel."
- James, Nip and Growler Ale House, King's Lynn
"Good traditional stout, with a good balance of flavours."
- Michael, Alexandra Hotel, Derby

The Full Mountie
Our Canadian-style pilsner that delivers everything you could ask for in a crisp lager. A robust malt backbone is balanced with floral, herbal hops for a clean and refreshing finish.
"Arguably one of the most flavourfully crisp Pilsners/Lagers I’ve had in a long ol’ time. Grabbed it wondering, “WTF is a Canadian Pilsner?” but turns out it’s more a nod to the brewery’s Canadian heritage than a whole new style. Either way, this SOB is bang on. Clean, crisp, tasty… proper well done on this one. Really enjoyed it 🤝"
- @cowboydranks, Hazy Daze, Whitley Bay
"Not bad Ah… Canadian pils, I’m all aboot this 👍🏼."
- Alex, The Micro Moose, Bournemouth

Oot n' Aboot
A saying both Geordies & Canadians are familiar with, “Oot n’ Aboot” is our SIBA Silver award-winning IPA.
This brew boasts robust North American hops, yielding vibrant notes of citrus, mango, pineapple and stone fruits. Its bold bitterness delights the palate, complemented by a gentle malt character and a striking blonde hue with a touch of haze.
"Fruity but but not aggressively so, stone fruit mellows the sweetness out making it light despite it's strength"
- Tony, The Woodman Inn, Weymouth
"Smooth and richly hopped, with a bitter bite."
- Graeme, Dirty Bottles Inn, Alnwick

North by North East
An easy-drinking session pale with piercing clarity.
A delightful blend of Cashmere, Nectaron, and Citra hops; this session pale starts with soft malty sweetness, followed by vibrant notes of grapefruit, pineapple, and passion fruit.
"Great pint. Quite hoppy and citrus cutting in."
- Mike, The Guide Dog, Southampton
"Fruity, citrussy, and very nice."
- Ian, The Three Tuns, Gateshead

Belta Blonde
Belta Blonde is our session ale that packs flavours well above its weight.
It’s a harmonious and subtle blend of sweet citrus, hints of honey, and a light malt character. This thirst-quenching blonde offers a flavourful escape with its zesty notes and a crisp bitter backdrop.
"A nice malty base, with a well-rounded citrus hoppiness and light resina aroma. Refreshing and sessionable. Punches well above its diplomatic ABV. 😀"
- David, The Grapes, Liverpool
"Pleasantly sweet citrus along with a gentle drying finish. Nice."
- Ray, The Ale-ing Fest, Hampshire
